IRVINE, Calif., October 19, 2021 – Netwrix, a cybersecurity vendor that makes data security easy, today announced the acquisition of PolicyPak, a software manufacturer that helps organizations of all sizes secure and manage their on-premises and remote Windows 10 desktops and laptops. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

This addition complements the Netwrix product portfolio by extending data security and control over privileged accounts to desktops, thereby further supporting the modern hybrid and remote workforce.

The PolicyPak desktop management platform enables organizations to:

  •  Manage and secure in-office and remote endpoints, including their browsers and applications.
  •  Remove local admin rights to facilitate implementation of a Zero Trust model.
  •  Prevent ransomware and other malware infections.
  •  Block threats on USB sticks, DVDs and CD-ROMs.
  •  Simplify Windows 10 and Group Policy management.
  •  Achieve compliance with regulatory requirements.

Netwrix customers will be able to benefit from a modern desktop management platform that simplifies management and enhances security across the hybrid or remote workforce. PolicyPak customers will gain access to the Netwrix portfolio of security and compliance solutions that will help them identify and mitigate data security risks, as well as protect against, respond to and recover from cybersecurity attacks.
